About the event
Lisa Yui Enjoy live performances by exceptional artists each week! This class is a survey of the literature of keyboard music of the Baroque and Classical eras. We will explore the cultural history of the times as well as the biographies and major works of composers, from J.S. Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, to Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and others. There will be weekly live performances by various pianists, including students of The Juilliard School, and analyses of selected works. The ability to read music is recommended for this course, but not required. 8 weeks
