Lecture: Piano Music by Asian Composers

In this presentation, pianist, educator, and music historian, Dr. Yui will explore the literature of piano music by composers from Asia and its expatriates. The social history and the dominance of the western music in selected countries will be explored as we examine works composed from the late nineteenth into the twentieth centuries.
